The Little White House is located on A1A just across the street from the from the beach, that Travel Holiday magazine rated number one in the southeastern United States. It provides an idyllic setting for a romantic getaway for two, or a family vacation. You can enjoy breakfast in the master bedroom suite with a beautiful ocean view and in early evening you can enjoy a barbeque on the patio and later, drinks in the jacuzzi. Just a five minute walk south gives you a choice of Oceanfront restaurants offering fine and casual dinning for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Also within minutes you can rent sailboats, jet skis and surf boards. (The Little White House has two guest bicycles on premises).
The exercise room has dumbbells, a stationery bike and other equipment.

Not only is there a beautiful beach across the street but there are also two public golf courses and a tennis center within a ten minute drive. Palm Beach International Airport is only twenty minutes away, and Fort Lauderdale International Airport is only forty minutes.

About the House

The house is about 1600 square feet, not counting the porch, the balcony or the deck. It has three bedrooms, two of which are really mini-suites with sitting rooms looking onto the Atlantic, and a cute little room in the back, which we affectionately call the "Delray Bedroom. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and fireplace, a sunroom where you can enjoy breakfast and /or a great book, plenty of closet space, and some beautiful 18th century hand painted prints of tropical birds behind the bed. The sunroom has the best ocean view in the house with a large chair that pulls out to a twin bed if you need it. The second bedroom is somewhat smaller, but roomy enough, with a trundle bed, antique furniture, plenty of good books to read (to suit just about every literary interest), some nice flower prints and a rather lush sun room with a beautiful ocean view and a little café table and chairs - perfect for late afternoon and sunset cocktails. These two bedrooms share the main bathroom, located opposite the staircase. The Delray Bedroom contains two rattan beds, which convert to a king if needed, an antique Mexican chest, its own bathroom, some great art by two prominent Irish artists, copious closet space, and of course plenty of memorabilia of Delray Beach. On the first floor enjoy the ocean view from the dinning room that seats six. Or, take in the view from the living room that has a fireplace and the only television in the house. The galley gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware and utensils. The front porch offers the best view on the property. It's roomy, cool, welcoming and is the preferred spot for gazing at the beach. The courtyard off to the side of the porch is where you'll find the Jacuzzi, chaise lounge chairs and gas grill. The driveway offers enough parking for 4 cars. The exercise room and laundry room are off the driveway toward the rear of the house. The two guest bicycles are stored in the exercise room

With its brick paved and tree-lined sidewalks and quaint and romantic lighting, the Avenue is perfect for walkers, browsers and those wishing to soak up the ambiance of this charming sea side town. Delray's completely renovated downtown is bustling and picturesque. The Avenue and bordering streets offer a casually elegant setting for over 70 restaurants and numerous antique shops, galleries, gift shops, night clubs, and clothiers. From October until May, Delray Beach is host to a constant stream of festivals and special events. One Thursday night each month Delray features "Art and Jazz on the Avenue" during which the heart of downtown is closed to traffic. Stroll through downtown, take in the festive atmosphere, shop, stay and linger for live music, food, and fun. Old School Square has concerts throughout the season featuring a variety of different styles of music ranging from the Boca Pops Orchestra to national, pop bands to local talent. Every Saturday visit Delray Beach's Green Market downtown in Worthington Park, where you can purchase the freshest local vegetables, fruit and seafood available.
