Southwest Florida is famous for its warmth in the winter months. You can go shelling on several beaches nearby, enjoy sightseeing, boating or fishing in the area, visit Boca Grande or Sanibel, or the many interesting shops. There is always something to do and the weather is great. If you are a Boston Red Sox fan, their spring training is in Fort Myers- or see a Minnesota Twins or Tampa Bay game. If you like cultural events or theatre, the Barbara Mann Theatre in Fort Myers is wonderful, and the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre is exceptionally good also.
